Zamboanga Del Sur is a province of the Philippines located south of Zamboanga Del Norte,
west of Misamis Occidental and Lanao Del Norte,
and east of Zamboanga Sibugay. Its Terrain consists mostly of hills and mountains with scattered river valleys and
narrow flat coastal areas. The province receives rainfall more or less evenly distributed throughout the year.

As of 2007, 76 banks were operating in the province with total deposits of 25 billion pesos. Poverty
incidence was 33.8% in 2006, slighly higher than the national average of 32.9%.
Business Opportunities
The province's fertile agricultural lands coupled with good typhoon-free climate is ideal for high value commercial crops such
as rubber, cacao, coffee, sweet corn, other fruits and vegetables.
Goat and cattle raising processing of halal foods have great potential not only for domestic consumption but also for export.
