Located at the very center of Cavite Province, it is bounded on the north by the town
of town of Tanza, on the east by Gen. Trias, on the south by Amadeo and Indang, and on the west by Naic. It is 45 kilometers southwest
of Manila. Known as the city of Sampaguita, it is accessible by land through the National Road or Governor's Drive.
The city was named after the 13 martyrs who were executed by the Spaniards in 1896. It has an area of 49 square
kilometers.

The city was named after the 13 martyrs who were executed by the Spaniards on September 12, 1896 shortly after the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution.
The city is fast becoming a haven of housing subdivisions. It is home to steel manufacturers Somico and Sonic.

Two golf courses are found in the city: Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club and Sherwood Hills Golf and Country Club.
