Located midway along the western coast of Cebu Island in Central Visayas Region,
Toledo City is bounded on the north by the town of Balamban, on the east by Cebu City,
Minglanila town, and Talisay City, on the south by Naga and Pinamungahan town. It has a land area of 199.6 square kilometers, some of which are still considered rural. Its terrain is
characterized by a narrow coastal plain that abruptly rises to hills and mountains in the eastern interior part of the city.
The city is the site of a large copper mine. It has a small seaport for inter-island shipping. Aside from gold,
silver and copper, the city also has deposits of marble, clay, and limestone for cement manufacture.
In terms of population, the city is the 5th largest in Cebu Province. Most of the people speak Cebuano while the
minority speak Ilonggo and Aklanon. Tagalog and English are wide used. The Hinulawan Festival was launched recently to foster unity among the people and to further
promote tourism.

The city offers opportunities in small and medium enterprises particularly food processing plants like meat and fish processing.
The manufacture of furniture, clothing and fashion accessories, jewelry, personal care and other consumer goods are encouraged.
