LOcated 34 kilometers north of Manila, the town of Santa Maria is bounded on the north by the
towns of Angat and Nirzagaray, on the east by the city of San Jose Del Monte, on the south
by Marilao town, and on the west by the towns of Bocaue and Pandi.
The town is connected with a road network to all the surrounding towns. It is composed of 18 barangays spread in a land
area of 91 square kilometers. Terrain is generally flat with some hills on the northern part
of the town. The Santa Maria river is the only significant body of water.
 Municipal Building
Although agriculture remains as the bedrock of the local economy, commerce and industry are fast gaining importance
as a source of income. Rice is the main farm product. The town has several commercial poultry and hog raisers.
There are several residential subdivisions as well as resorts in Sta. Maria. Recently, a Metro Manila-based chain
of shooping malls opened a branch in the town.
Business Opportunities
Being near the major urban centers of Bulacan Province, Santa Maria is poised to become a major growth center in the province.
