Santa Ana is a 3rd class municipality located in the northeastern tip of Cagayan Province. It is bounded on the
northwest by the babuyan Channel, on the east by the Philippine Sea, on the southwest by the town of Gonzaga.
It has a total land area of 441 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 16 barangays.
The town is situated 155 kilometers northeast of Tuguegarao City, the provincial capital. It is the hometown of the Cagayan Economic Zone which is envisioned to be a commercial, industrial, tourism, and
a shipping center. Currently it has gambling houses.
Being the home of a special economic zone, all kinds of businesses are encouraged here.
