The island of Siargao is found off the coast of northeastern Mindanao in region of Caraga, in close proximity to the Philippine Trench which is considered as the world's deepest ocean spot. It is a territory of Surigao del Norte and is composed of nine municipalities. The island is accessible by boat from Surigao City. Topography is mostly flat with coconut trees all around the island.
