Profile
Located southeast of Bulacan Province and northeast of Metro Manila, San Jose Del Monte is
bounded on the north by the town of Norzagaray, on the east by Rodriquez town of Rizal province,
on the south by Quezon City and Caloocan City, and
on the west by the towns of Marilao and Sta. Maria. It has a total land area of 148.6 square
kilometers and is composed of 59 barangays.

In terms of population, San Jose Del Monte is the largest in Central Luzon Region and the 18th largest among all
the cities in the Philippines.
Although considered a part of the built-up areas of Metro Manila, agriculture still plays a major role in the
city's economy. Major farm products are rice, mangoes, cassava, other rootcrops, vegetables, livestock, and poultry. It has an
industrial estate. Manufactured goods from the city are processed meat, fruit juices, garments, gifts and toys, metal
products, and marble.

San Jose Del Monte City has wide areas for real estate development. Entrepreneurs can engaged in mass housing projects, commercial
complexes, tourist facilities, schools, and hospitals. The establishment of manufacturing plants for variety of products particularly
processed foods and other agro-based industries is suggested.
