Pola is a 4th class municipality located in Oriental Mindoro. It is bounded on the north by Naujan, on the east by East Mindoro Strait, on the south by Pinamalayan, and on the west by Occidental Mindoro. It has a total land area of square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 23 barangays.

Pola is 75 kilometers away from Calapan City, the provincial capital.
