Pilar is a 4th class inland municipality located on the eastern part of Bohol Province.
It is bounded on the north by Dagohoy, on the east by Alicia, on the south by Guindulman, and on the west by Sierra Bullones.
It has a total land area of square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 21 barangays.
