Passi is the second city of Iloilo Province. The other is the capital city of Iloilo. It is located in the northern
part of the province in the heart of Panay Island of Western Visayas. Its neighboring towns are San Rafael on the east, Duenas and San Enrique on the south, Calinog and Bingawan on the west,
and Dumarao of Capiz Province on the north. Situated in the heart of Panay Island with a land area of 251.4
square kilometer, the city is laid back and conservative yet striving to modernize. It has just recently inaugurated a new
city health center.
Most of the people speak the dialect kinaray-a but some migrants speak Cebuanos and Tagalogs. English is widely used. Majority of the population belong the Roman Catholic
Religion while the minority belong other sects such as Iglesia Ni Cristo, Evangelicals, and Jehovah Witnesses.
More than half of the city's land is devoted to farming. Major agricultural products are sugar, rice, pineapple, and coconut.

Situated amidst a vast agricultural land in an area almost halfway between Roxas City in the north and Iloilo
City in the south, the city is well-positioned to become a reliable supplier of products needed by traders, dealers, and manufacturers
in the two cities. Moreover, being traversed by the Strong Republic Nautical Highway, the city can offer a more interesting stop over
