Located on the northern shoreline of Davao Gulf, Panabo is the third city of Davao Del Norte
after the capital city of Tagum and Island Garden City of Samal. It is bounded on the north by the town of Braulio E. Dujali,
on the norteast by Carmen town, on the south and west by Davao City. Considered a part of Metro Davao, Panabo is only
32 kilometers from Davao City proper. The Maharlika Highway is the main route to reach Panabo either from Davao City
or from Tagum City. terrain is generally lowland.
The city has a total land area of 251.2 square kilometers. Out of the 42 barangays comprising it, 30 are
considered rural. In terms of population, Panabo is the second most populous among the three cities of Davao Del Norte.
Cebuano is the dialect of the majority but Tagalog and English are widely used in school, government and business offices..
Plantation agriculture is the main source of income and employment. Banana especially Cavendish is the chief product
and mostly geared for export. Other farm products are rice, corn, coconut, fruits and vegetables. Livestock, poultry and fish are
also produced. Products manufactured in the city are packaging materials such as plastics and corrugated boxes and processed food
specifically banana chips.

Panabo City has all the ingredients to become an agro-industrial center. Its proximity to Davao City and its surrounding
rich agricultural lands provide it with a ready market for products such as processed foods, fertilizer, feeds, farm implements, furniture,
fashion items, and other consumer goods. Investors are also encouraged to put up housing projects, commercial complexes, and tourist
facilities such as hotels and resorts, amusement park, and demonstration farms.
