Marilao is located on the western part of Bulacan Province. It is bounded on the
north by the municipality of Sta. Maria and the city of San Jose Del Monte,
on the east and south by the city of Meycauayan, and on the west by Bocaue. The
town is accessible via MacArthur Highway and also the North Luzon Expressways. It is also accessible via a secondary
road from San Jose Del Monte City.

With a total area of 26 square kilometers, Marilao is as large as Manila City. Although
considered part of Metro Manila built-up area, many parts of the town are still rural areas. The town is politically subdivided
into 16 barangays and is part of the fourth legislative district of Bulacan.
One of the most progressive towns of Bulacan, it is home to some large companies such as
- SM Mall
- Indophil Textile mills, the country's largest yarn manufacturing plant
- Sterling Paper Products in Barangay Patubig
- Moldex Products, Inc. in Brgy. Loma de Gato
- Nation Manufacturing and Industrial Products Corporation

Products
Manufactured products from Marilao includes garments and textile, paper, processed foods, jewelry, metalcrafts, and woodcrafts.
Home-based industries churn out tomato jam, Longganisa (processed meat), fruit juice drink, pickled vegetables, and decorative candles.Its farms produce
rice, corn, some root crops and vegetables, livestock and poultry.
Business Opportunities
Entrpreneurs can invest in mass housing, commercial complexes, and tourist facilities. The production and processing of high value commercial crops
is highly recommended. The establishment of factories to produce consumer goods such as processed foods, garments, other fashion accessories, soaps, detergents, personal care products, furniture,
home decors, giftwares and other novelty items is suggested.
