Maria is a 5th class municipality located in the eastern coast of Siquijor province.
It is bounded on the north by the towns of Larena and Enrique Villanueva, on the east and south by Bohol Sea, and on the west by Lazi.
It has a total land area of square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 22 barangays.
