-> The 5th president (1946 - 1948) of the Philippines -> Born on January 1, 1892 in Roxas City, Capiz -> His father was killed by the Spanish guards before he was born -> Obtained his law degree from UP in 1913 and subsequently topped the Bar exam -> Married to Doña Trinidad de Leon and had two children Ma. Rosario "Ruby" who is married to Vicente Roxas and Gerardo M. "Gerry" Roxas who married Judy Araneta -> 1917 - became member of the capiz Municipal Council -> 1919 to 1922 - served as Governor of Capiz Province -> 1922 to 1934 - elected as representative and served as Speaker of the National Assembly -> 1935 - elected as delegate to the Constitutional Convention -> 1936 - appointed as Secretary of Finance -> 1941 - elected as Senator -> 1942 - Brigadier General in the USAFFE -> 1946 - elected as last President of the Commonwealth and first President of the 3rd Republic -> Died of heart attack on April 15, 1948 in Clark Air Base, Pampanga
