Macrohon is a 4th class municipality located on the western coast of Southern Leyte Province.
It is bounded on the north by Maasin City which is just 15 kilometers away, on the east by Malitbog and Padre Burgos, and on the southwest by Canigao Channel.
It has a total land area of 126 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 30 barangays.
