Libmanan is a 1st class municipality located on the northwestern coast of Camarines Sur Province.
It is bounded on the north by Sipocot and Cabusao, on the east by Magarao and Canaman, on the south by Pamplona and Pasacao,
and on the west by Ragay Gulf.
It has a total land area of 342 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 75 barangays.
Rice farming is the major occupation of the residents of Libmanan. Construction of a dam on the Libmanan River is on-going
to provide water for irrigation that would further boost the production of rice, the staple food of Filipinos.
