Kabacan is a 1st class municipality located on the central part of North Cotabato Province.
It is bounded on the north by the town of Carmen, on the east by Matalam, on the south by M'lang, and on the west by the province of Maguindanao.
It has a total land area of square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 24 barangays.
