Itbayat is a 5th class municipality of Batanes Province. It is occupies a group of islands north of Batan Island in northern Philippines. It is also the northernmost municipality in the Philippines, located only over 200 kilometers from the southernmost tip of Taiwan.

There are lots of opportunities in the development of tourism in this town. Being a coastal municipality, resorts, hotels and other facilities can be established.
