Located 54 kilometers north of Manila, the town of Hagonoy is bounded on the north by the town
of Calumpit, on the east Malolos City and Paombong town, on the south by Manila Bay,
and on the west by the province of Pampanga. The town can be reached either from Malolos City passing through Paombong or from Calumpit town.
It has a total land area of 90 square kilometers and is composed of 26 barangays, most of which are considered rural areas.
Hagonoy is part of the first legislative district of Bulacan.

Farming and fishing are the main source of livelihood of the people. Rice is the most important product of the town.
Hagonoy has the potential to become the center of mariculture industry by developing the vast tract of land near Manila Bay. With its proximity
to Malolos City and other urban centers of Bulacan and Pampanga provinces, the town can be an ideal place to establish agro-industrial plants
such as food processing, feed and fertilizer production, commercial poultry and hog raising, as well as the manufacture of farm implemnents.
