Gonzaga is 2nd class municipality located in the northeastern part of Cagayan Province. It is bounded on the
north by the Babuyan Channel, on the east by Santa Ana and the Philippine Sea, on the south by Lal-lo, and on the west by Santa Teresita.
It has a total land area of 707 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 25 barangays.
The town is situated 124 kilometers northeast of Tuguegarao City, the provincial capital.
