-> The 14th President of the Philippines (2001 - 2010) -> Born on April 5, 1947 in San Juan, Metro Manila -> Parents are late President Disodado Macapagal and Eva Macaraeg -> Married to Jose Miguel Arroyo and had 3 children: Mickey, Luli, Dato -> Finished elementary and high school at the Assumption Convent School -> Went to Georgetown University's Walsh School for Foreign Service -> Obtained a course on economics at the Assumtion College -> Got her Masters in Economics at the Ateneo De Manila University in 1978 -> Obtained her Ph. D. in Economics at UP in 1985 -> Worked as a professor in economics in several colleges and universities -> Appointed as Assistant Secretary at Department of Trade and Industry -> Elected as Senator in 1992 and in 1995 -> Elected as Vice-President in 1998 -> Sworn in as President after the Military has withdrawn support from then President Estrada in 2001 People Power II -> Elected as President during the controversial 2004 Presidential Election -> Elected as Representative of the 2nd District of Pampanga
