Fe Del Mundo is the first Filipina woman to be conferred the title National Scientist. She is also the first Filipina and woman to be enrolled at Harvard University Medical School.

• Active in the field of public health
• Devised an Incubator made of bamboo for use in the rural areas

1. 1966 - Elizabeth Blackwell Award for Outstanding Service to Mankind, handed in 1966 by Hobart and William Smith Colleges
