Eddie Romero a Filipino film director, screen writer and producer.
He was conferred the National Artist of the Philippines in 2003 for his exceptional artistry
in filmmaking that has span three generations of filmmakers.
Eddie Romero is a scion of the influential Romero and Sinco clan of Negros Oriental Province .
His father, José E. Romero, was a former congressman, Secretary of Education, and Philippine Ambassador to Spain.
His mother is Pilar Guzman- Sinco, a school teacher in Bais City and the sister of Foundation University
Founder Dr. Vicente G.Sinco. He is Married to Carolina Gonzales and they had three children, including film director Joey Romero.
He is a FAMAS Hall of Famer for winning five Awards for best screenplays.
