Cardona is located in the southern part of Rizal Province. It is bounded on the north
by Morong town, on the
east and south by Laguna Lake, and on the west by the town of Binangonan. The eastern part of Talim Island is part of the town.
Cardona is part of the second legislative district of Rizal and is politically subdivided into 18 barangays.

Topography is characterized by hills and narrow plains. Its long shoreline facing Laguna Lake provides
the town with a thriving fishing industry. In fact, a small fishport has been built in this town.
