Camalaniugan is a 4th class municipality located in northern Cagayan Province. It is bounded on the north by Ballesteros and Aparri, on the east by Buguey, on the south by Lal-lo, and on the west by Allacapan. It has a total land area of 76 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 28 barangays.

The town is situated 586 kilometers north of Manila and 91 kilometers north of Tuguegarao City, the provincial capital.

1. Spanish Horno (kiln)
2. St. Hyacinth Church - constructed in 1604 and was used by the Americans as their headquarters during the Filipino-American War.
3. Sancta Maria Bell - forged in 1595, considered as the oldest in the Far East.
