Located at the northeastern part of Cavite province, the town of Bacoor is considered as
the gateway to Cavite. It is bounded on the north by Manila Bay, on the east by the cities of Las Pinas
and Muntinlupa, on the south by the
town of Dasmarinas, and on the west by the municipalities of Imus and Kawit. It is accessible from Metro Manila via Coastal Road or the
Zapote-Baclaran Road. Total land area is 52.4 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 73 barangays. It is one of the most populous towns in the country with a number of residents
higher than most small cities.

Due to its proximity to Metro Manila, Bacoor has undergone rapid urbanization. Main source of livelihood
is no longer agriculture but commerce, service industries and some light manufacturing plants. Two SM malls are now located
in the town. Several big infrastructure projects are upcoming like the extension of the light railway transport, waterfront
development, and a proposed mixed land development called New Bacoor.
The town offers opportunities in mass housing projects and commercial complexes. Its accessibility from Metro Manila
makes it an ideal place for tourism-related projects such as hotels, resorts, and entertainment facilities.
