The province has cottage industries but no large manufacturing plants. Still a frontier province, tourism is fast becoming a major income earner. It has pristine beaches, and near perfect surfing sites. As of 2007, there were 11 banks operating in the province with total deposits of 850 million pesos.

Business Opportunities

The province offers opportunities in producing and processing of high value commercial crops such as cacao and coffee, pineapple, mushroom, and jatropha. Bamboo platation is highly recommended. Manufacturing furniture and other artifacts from wood, rattan, and nito is also good proposal. The establishment of an industrial zone and a seaport would be a great endeavour as it would open up an eastern gateway for the many industries of Central Luzon.
