Aparri is a 1st class municipality located in the northern part of Cagayan Province. It is bounded on the
north by the Babuyan Channel, on the east by Buguey, on the south by Canalaniugan, and on the west by Ballesteros.
The town sits on the mouth of the mighty Cagayan River, the longest in the country.
It has a total land area of 286 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 42 barangays. Its territory includes
Fuga Islands and other smaller islands within the Babuyan Channel.
Tobacco is the foremost agricultural product of this town.
The town is situated 102 kilometers north of Tuguegarao City, the provincial capital.
